Bramble Mere lake was dug in the 1960’s as gravel extraction. Bramble Mere was left to mature until mid seventies when stocked with a classic strain of carp from the Priory Fishery. In 2000 the lake was allowed to be fished exclusively by a small syndicate of which the current owner was a member.
The 7 acre lake is set in the peaceful Cotswold’s adjacent to a nature reserve, yet close enough to enjoy local amenities of Fairford and Lechlade.
The lake complex was purchased in 2012 and continued to be fished exclusively by a small syndicate till end of the 2014 season. During the last twelve years the owner a keen carp angler has invested into the site facilities and security to allow a totally stress free fishing experience. The site is totally fenced.
Extensive Investment was also made to create stock pond facilities to improve the fish stock sustainability by growing and selecting exceptional Carp stock for future release into Bramble Mere.
A car park is available, with new toilet and shower facilities available to fishermen.
Bramble Mere has approximately 280 carp ranging from single figure to over 38lbs with a large head of 20lb fish. In the lake can also be found other quality fish with Tench up to 10lbs , Perch at 4lbs and Pike at 20lbs. Investment has been made in improving the 14 well positioned swims to allow fishing exclusivity.
Bramble Mere is a exclusive use fishery that can be booked by a group of anglers for private hire ensuring peace and tranquillity and an enjoyable fishing experience.
