Bramble Mere lake was dug in the 1960’s as gravel extraction. Bramble Mere was left to mature until mid seventies when stocked with a classic strain of carp from the Priory Fishery. In 2000 the lake was allowed to be fished exclusively by a small syndicate of which the current owner was a member.
The 7 acre lake is set in the peaceful Cotswold’s adjacent to a nature reserve, yet close enough to enjoy local amenities of Fairford and Lechlade.
The lake complex was purchased in 2012 and during last 8 years the owner has heavily invested into the site facilities and security to allow a totally stress free fishing experience. The site is totally fenced.
A car park is available, with exclusive new toilet and shower facilities available to anglers fishing Bramble Mere.
Sustainabilty for the future:
Huge investment was made to Improve the fish stock to ensure sustainability and support the family run business. New stock ponds have been created and existing ones refurbished.
A re-circulating stand-alone water system has enabled us to grade and grow the very best quality fish on a continuous annual cycle. This on-site fish farming allows secure bio-diversity and the sustainability to support future success of this local family business.
Bramble Mere has approximately 250 carp ranging from single figure to over 30lbs with a large head of 20lb fish. In the lake can also be found other quality fish with tench up to 10lbs with perch at 4lbs and pike upto 20lbs.
Investment has been made in improving the 14 well positioned swims to allow fishing exclusivity.
Bramble Mere is an exclusive use fishery that can be booked by a group of anglers for private hire ensuring peace and tranquillity and an enjoyable fishing experience.
